In these difficult and uncertain economic times many companies are making cuts in their promotional products budgets. Spending on anything other than what is considered “necessary” for business is being scaled back or cut off completely and drastic steps are being taken to ensure stability in this challenging time. While streamlining is important during the leaner times, it’s also equally important to continue to promote your company. Remember the old adage, “out of sight, out of mind?” That is not something that any company wants to happen especially when business is so important. There are thousands of options available that can be both effective and cost prohibitive at this time when the bottom line is so important. Something as simple as a personalized magnet or business card magnet can make a big impact to a large number of customers for minimal cost. That is just one small example of smaller items that can make a big difference. Committing a small amount of funds to a promotional items budget may give you the edge over your competition that is necessary to keep you on top once the economy levels out. We have to remember that no matter how tight things are now, it won’t always be this way. Your customers will begin to spend again at some point and they will most likely go with the business that has remained the most consistent and managed to keep their attention. Remember that other old adage, “Slow and steady wins the race.”
